Gift yourself JOY (by asking this question)

One of the greatest lessons I have learnt in the last few months, is to CHOOSE JOY.


A question that I find myself asking is:


What is ONE thing that I can do right now that will bring me Joy?


Sometimes my answers are…

…Stepping out of the office and taking a walk.

…Smiling to myself with deep gratitude and appreciation for life.

…Taking a deep breath.

…Looking up at the sky.

…Observing my surroundings – I see people smiling back at me, I receive messages and symbols from the Universe that tells me that I am exactly where I am meant to be.

…Writing about my feelings.

…Letting someone know I miss them.

Stop what I am doing and take a break.

…Spending 10 to 20 minutes meditating.

…Painting.


It has to be a conscious decision that is made.

It is a commitment that you choose for yourself.

Because you are SO WORTH it!


Give yourself permission to carve out time in your day to take three deep breaths and re-connect with your body.

How about taking just 5 minutes to look at the sky?

5 minutes to put pen to paper – draw or scribble or write?

5 minutes to focus on nourishing your body with a glass of water?

This is POSSIBLE. YES, for YOU.

All you have to do is to give it a try and keep showing up everyday to GIFT yourself JOY.


You do this with every new technique that you are taking on. It is very much like trying on a new pair of jeans to FEEL how it fits you. You wear it for a while and it starts to feel real snug on your body. You feel really really good. You’re SO happy you made this purchase. You’re looking good and feeling really really good! That’s what asking this question has done for me. It brought me right back onto the JOY train. I created even MORE JOY in my life.


Life is filled with conditions or circumstances that you have no control over. Trying to gain control, feels like swimming upstream, putting in too much effort, feeling exhausted, and putting up a lot of resistance to what is happening. You are pushing against the natural flow.


You can take responsibility over what you are feeling inside of you. In this sacred space within you, lies an opportunity for you to create change to how you are feeling in response to what is happening around you. Here is where a choice to feel differently is available to you, something that you can create for yourself.


A Joy-full Creation.


YOU are a powerful creator.

You CAN create more joy in your life too.

Try it out for yourself and see what happens.

If it doesn’t fit you, then let it slip away.

All that is not aligned with your highest good always falls away!

Yet I know. Deep down in my heart I know.

How life changing this one question, this one decision can be for you.

So here I am nudging you a little at the side.

Go on now. Choose your joy. Make it happen for you.
